Students of courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences school shouldn’t be too surprised to find their professors jamming on stage when they head out clubbing after class.

Talking to Anglo-American University professors often turns up by their great love for music. Some are jazz fanatics who would go anytime, anywhere by any means of transport to see a great gig. AAU professor John Brent confides he once canceled a U.S. history lecture because he was going hitchhiking to a Vienna jazz concert.

CEA student Russell King says, “I want to eat my goulash and not feel like I am eating out of an ash tray.” However, King said he thinks smoking is an essential part of Czech culture.

Students at Anglo-American University agree: Smoking is a part of Czech culture. If smoking is banned in Czech restaurants, AAU students will be upset. Among the 47 AAU students interviewed for this story, the general consensus is that it is not fair to ban smoking from pubs and restaurants across the country. Even students who do not smoke agree.
