AAU's Student Council elections are on. You can still vote until next Wednesday. Find out how to vote, why to vote and who to vote for.

Until Wednesday, September 21 you can still vote in the AAU Student Council elections. The voting will take place in the courtyard of AAU's building with ballots available to students between classes at the following times: 11:00-11:30, 14:15-14:45, and 17:30-18:00, except for Friday when the time will be limited to 8:30-9:00, and Tuesday, when, for technical reasons, there will be no voting.

American students push indulgence to the edge

“Maybe I had a hangover or two, but so what? Partying at night is what it’s all about.”

Say a 17-year-old Czech student goes to a club with a bunch of his friends one Friday night. Though the drinking age is 18 here, the student walks in, makes a comment to the bouncer, the two share a smile and he and his buddies are in.

Now imagine this with a 17-year-old American testing his luck at a bar in the heart of New York. The bouncer takes one look, spots the fake ID, rips it in half and hands it back. So it will go for the next four years.

Czechs lead Europe in marijuana smoking

Less than four years after their entrance into the European Union, Czechs have become some of the continent's best cannabis consumers. It's an image that the country is not especially proud of.
"Everybody must get stoned," sang Bob Dylan, The Doors, the Wailers... and the list of bands endorsing marijuana goes on and on. Their message is clear: Weed is a soft drug so let's roll, folks!

The New Anglo-American College in Prague takes pride in connecting people from all over the world - people of different backgrounds and lifestyles. One such student, a Roma MA candidate in international relations and diplomacy, is Petra Zajdova.
Zajdova, 24, just acquired her bachelor's degree and is continuing in her studies at The New Anglo-American College in Prague. Her path to this school was quite long. She grew up in Brno and started her studies at Romska stredni skola socialni.
