The English Club, which has been running for several years, allows the children to “form a positive relationship to English through fun activities and games and then it is also easier for them to learn English at school,” explains Tučková.

On a late Friday autumn afternoon a group of six students from the International School of Prague are making their way up a crowded street to start their first day this year as volunteers. 

They arrive at a five-story apartment building in Prague 2 with their mentor, Christine Reeb. They navigate their way through a small courtyard before entering a brightly lit hallway lined with a shelves overflowing with a variety of colorful informational brochures about programs at InBáze Berkat, the community center.

Taking advantage of Friday's public holiday, Prague TV throws the city's biggest and best Halloween party on Thursday, October 27, when the Monster Ball returns to the Retro Music Hall.

For this year's party, the live music comes courtesy of CCTV Allstars, an international Prague-based band who play an energetic blend of ska, folk, reggae and rock.

"Dernisáž"is the closing reception of the photo exhibit THE ROMA by Lukáš Houdek, a part of a larger collection INvisibles (NEviditelní). The exhibition started at |art|SPACE, the art gallery of Anglo-American University, on May, 6 as part of Transeuropa, for the first time taking place in Prague as a part of the multi-national both cultural festival and political event. This time unlike the opening the visitors have a chance to talk to the artist himself.

Stanislav Lahoda is not a very well known name. But his works decorate interiors all over the world. He is a Czech painter and sells his pictures in the historical heart of Prague, on the Charles Bridge.
His story sounds like a fairy tale: Lahoda wanted to become a painter from the time he was a small boy. But during the communist era he was not allowed to study art and could never officially present or sell his works. Instead, he worked in a factory and painting remained just a hobby.

The Student Council is moving forward on plans to hold a graduation ball sometime next spring.

It would be the university's first graduation ball of this type
