Neil Andrew Taylor is a successful author and playwright based in London. His adaptations of British screen classics and novels have been performed successfully in London’s famous West-End theatre land and nationally. His works include stage versions of, Room At The Top, Kind Hearts and Cornoets, The Lady Vanishes, and Noel Coward’s Brief Encounter among many others. Taylor is also the authorised biographer of Peter Owen, the independent UK publisher.
Taylor established an independent theatre production house in the 90’s, for which he developed original children’s scripts and productions of Restoration Comedy and Victorian Melodrama, and is now establishing a new production house based in the West End. He is also writing a series of children’s books. In addition he is currently engaged with writing a screenplay based on Angela Green’s novel Cassandra Disk, set in London, New York and the Greek Isles.
A post–graduate of Sheffield University, Taylor is recognised as a leading independent creative writing coach and tutor, and regularly delivers creative writing seminars and courses at the London School of Journalism.
This summer course covers the main techniques of creative writing utilizing a blend of workshops, class discussion and teaching. This course is designed for both novice and intermediate writers of fiction, the techniques and practices discussed will be common to both short story and novel writing.
